Reviewing Weight Loss Records Helps
I love reviewing my weight loss highlight stats.
I should do this more often, as it increases my self esteem and let's me see the "forest of success" instead of the individual trees that challenge me as I continue on my journey through the wilderness lol.
Let me just say that keeping records is super-helpful, and you'll always wish you had more!
Oct. 6, 2016 - 397.3 lbs (BMI 68.2) - also started Weight Wise Program at Bariaric Clinic on this day
April 3, 2017 - 391.0 lbs -(after recently meeting Heather, and learning about the Weight Loss Challenge Facebook Support group she belongs to, I signed up for my first 3-month session in the group, competing for $$ to increase my motivation and accountability)
May 1, 2017 - 379.4 lbs - found out my pap smear had abnormal cells after my annual physical check up with family doctor
June 26 -, 2017 - 367.4 lbs - started second 3-month Weight Loss Challenge session and began taking Progesterone as a cancer suppressing precaution
August 14, 2017 - 349.0 lbs - after a trans uterine ultrasound May 4 and a D&C July 13 (to biopsy uterine cells), found out I had early stage uterine cancer and started taking Megastrol (a stronger progesterone drug to further suppress cancer growth while I continued to lose weight, making the eventual hysterectomy surgery safer)
September 25, 2017 - 334.2 lbs - won $260, plus my $50 registration fee back, in the Facebook Weight Loss Challenge group for having lost the 2nd highest percentage of my starting weight (9.04%), plus the most total pounds off (33.2 lbs)
December 11, 2017 - 330.2 lbs - started liquid Optifast diet - 900 calories a day from 4 shakes
May 25, 2018 - 262.3 lbs - milestone of having lost 135 lbs (which was the weight of Alison, plus 5 additional lbs)
May 28, 2018 - 265.4 lbs
June 28, 2018 - complete hysterectomy surgery (laproscopic)
July 9, 2018 - 257.5 lbs
August 27, 2018 - started transitioning off total liquid Optifast diet
August 30, 2018 - 247.3 lbs - milestone of having lost 2 lbs short of Keith's weight
October 3, 2018 - 245.1 lbs - bariatric surgery (vertical gastric sleeve) and gall bladder removal
January 2, 2019 - 242.2 lbs
April 4, 2019 - 219.8 lbs
April 24, 2019 - 215.0 lbs - started a personal race with Heather, to see which one of us could get below 200 lbs first -started reporting weight to Heather daily, from here on, after only sending in weekly weights for the Weight Loss Challenge previous to this
June 26, 2019 - 199.4 lbs - milestone of getting into "one-derland" and losing more than half my starting weight
June 29, 2019 - 197.0 lbs - milestone of losing 200.3 lbs
August 12, 2019 - rode a horse after about 25 years of feeling too heavy to do so
December 19, 2019 - 189.0 lbs - the lowest weight I've gotten to since starting in Oct. 2016
Dec. 31, 2019 - 196.0 lbs - struggling with Christmas temptations
January 29, 2020 - 189.8 lbs - got back down below 190, but struggling to keep the momentum going
February 13, 2020 - 196.8 lbs (BMI 33.8) - continuing to maintain my overall loss of 200.5 lbs and 33.4 BMI points down since starting over 3 years and 4 months ago. - not giving up - will get past this plateau eventually!!
